What song was Lai Noelle singing?

For her big moment, Noelle chose “Die On This Hill” by British up-and-comer Sienna Spiro. The song is about being stuck with someone who isn’t fully in or out of a relationship, knowing they aren’t committed but being so invested that you can’t bring yourself to just walk away.

“It’s a song about being stubborn and caring, which I don’t think is spoken about too much,”  the singer-songwriter told Billboard. “There’s been this really big wave of nonchalance, of it being really cool to not care. I think a lot of people aren’t like that.”

Lai Noelle may have gotten the first Golden moment of the Season, but she certainly won’t be the last to do so. Each of the four Judges is empowered to press that button twice, as is Host Terry Crews, for a grand total of 10 Golden Buzzer Acts going straight from Auditions to the Live Shows.
